Delete your data
You can ask for your personal data to be deleted at any time. This page explains what is deleted, how to ask and how long it takes. It applies to people who wrote to a salon on Instagram, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp or Telegram, to salon clients and to salon owners.
The fastest ways
- You have a client area with a salon (Mi cuenta): open it → Privacy → Delete my account. Done at once.
- You only messaged a salon or you have no client area: send the form below, or write to privacy@citamate.com with the salon's name and how you contacted it.
- You own a salon on Citamate: Salon → Subscription → close the salon; everything is deleted 90 days later, or write to us to delete it sooner.
What we delete
- Your conversations with the salon from Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and Telegram, and the identifiers those apps gave us for you.
- Your client card: name, phone, email, preferences, notes and health information, and your client-area login.
- Future bookings are cancelled; messages waiting to be sent to you are removed.
What stays, and why
- Past booking dates and amounts, without your name or contacts — Spanish tax law requires them for 6 years. They no longer identify you.
- Copies in our backups disappear within 14 days.
- Messages you sent stay in your own Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp or Telegram app and in the salon's account there; delete them in those apps — we cannot reach them.
How long it takes
We confirm your request within 3 working days, may ask you to confirm it is you, and complete the deletion within 30 days. The salon is told that your data was deleted. You receive an email when it is done, with a reference number you can quote if you have questions.
